Quang Tri (VNA)෴ - A business networking event connecting domestic enterprises in Quang Tri with international partners from strategic markets, including Thailand, Japan, China, and Laos, was opened in the central province on July 10.
The programme brought together over 60 enterprises and cooperatives from the North Central region, with 15 foreign companies and distributors. It featured product displays, visits to production and material zones, and a formal trade conference, offering local businesses opportunities to showcase products and explore cooperation.
Showcased items included agricultural products, processed foods, consumer goods, OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, handicrafts, and key rural industrial goods. Foreign delegates visited local raw material areas and processing facilities in sectors such as medicinal herbs, agriculture, and food production, laying the groundwork for potential investment in processing industries and sustainable supply chains.
During the two-day programme, the provincial investment, trade and tourism promotion centre also facilitated logistics and export-import support through partners such as Global Tech and Viet Thai Sourcing.
Some 20 memoranda of understanding were signed between participating companies at the event.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Duc Tien emphasised that the event underscored Quang Tri’s commitment to supporting businesses, developing value chains, and expanding export markets. He expressed his hope that participating firms would seize the opportunity to build lasting partnerships./.
The new Quang Tri province will include 78 commune-level units and features key assets such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a long coastline, historical landmarks, three international border gates, deep-water ports, a modern transport network, and two airports.
