Founded in 1999 in Gangwon in theRepublic of Korea with the memberships of nine East Asian countries,including the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia,the Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, and China, EATOF aims to promotecooperation and the development of tourism among member countries. Onlyone EATOF member province per country is admitted to the organisation ona permanent basis.
In 2006, Quang Ninh province became anew regular member and Siem Reap in Cambodia , and Luang Prabang inLaos subsequently joined EATOF in 2009.
It is expectedsome 200 representatives from 12 EATOF Permanent Secretariat meeting, aswell as art performances presented by EATOF member countries, will beamong the EATOF forum’s agenda./.
