Quang Ngai flood victims given relief aid

The Vietnam Fatherland Front’s chapter in the central province of Quang Ngai on December 4 presented financial and food aid to flood victims in the locality.

As much as 3.8 billion VND(180,900 USD) was given to 139 families to rebuild their houses. Thosewhose assets were completely damaged are also being supported with 15kgof rice per person for three months.

Since October18, 121 collectives and individuals from all corners of the country havedonated 15.6 billion VND (742,900 USD) to the Quang Ngai relief fund.

Meanwhile, another 20.4 billion VND (971,400 USD) and2,000 tonnes of rice have been directly presented to the province’slocalities to help flood victims.

According toChairman of the provincial People’s Committee Cao Khoa, as of November19, losses caused by recent floods were estimated at 1.73 trillion VND(82.38 billion USD).
