Quang Binh prepares for peak tourism season in summer

The central province of Quang Binh, which is a popular tourist destination thanks to its rich natural landscapes with a spectacular cave system and beautiful beaches, has prepared diverse tourism products to draw domestic and foreign tourists during this year’s peak tourism season in summer.

Quang Binh(VNA) – The central province of Quang Binh, which is a popular touristdestination thanks to its rich natural landscapes with a spectacular cave systemand beautiful beaches, has prepared diverse tourism products to draw domesticand foreign tourists during this year’s peak tourism season in summer.

Hoang Minh Thang,Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Centre, said that right from thebeginning of this year, the centre has focused on upgrading local tourisminfrastructure to ensure best experiences for visitors.

At the same time, it has worked hard todevelop and diversify tourism products and services to lure more holidaymakers.

One of the new products is a night tour toexplore 4,500m of Phong Nha Cave, along with camping and trekking toursalong streams.

Currently, theprovincial Department of Tourism is also coordinating with the Management Boardof Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and relevant agencies to provide adventuretours to explore the national park and local cave system.

Alongside, the centre has focused ondeveloping human resources for the tourism sector by coordinating withlocal training facilities, while applying measures to ensure food safety, saidThang.

Quang Binh boasts rich tourism resourcesand is home to the Phong Nha -Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world’s largest cave Son Doong.

The province also has the longest coastline in Vietnam, with beautiful beachesand delicious seafood. It was chosen as one of the filming destinations of theHollywood blockbuster movie “Kong: Skull Island”.

After two years ofstruggling with difficulties from the COVID-19 pandemic, the local tourism sectorhas strongly recovered and developed.

This year, Quang Binhaims to receive 3-3.5 million visitors, including 100,000 foreigners, earning3.4-3.9 trillion VND (144.12-165.32 million USD)./.
