Public security force urged to uphold President Ho’s teachings

Bac Giang (VNA) – National Assembly ChairwomanNguyen Thi Kim Ngan has urged the public security force to continue uphold theteachings of President Ho Chi Minh on the virtues of a revolutionary publicsecurity officer at a ceremony in Bac Giang on March 11. Addressing the ceremony, which was held to mark the 70th year since the President mentioned the virtues in a letter sent to the chief ofthe public security force of Zone XII Hoang Mai, the NA Chairwoman said the sixvirtues listed by the President is a precious spiritual asset and the lodestarfor the force.
The teachings also set the ethical standards and the principlesfor the lifestyle and work of every member of the force, she said.
𒐪 On behalf of leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam andthe State, the top legislator commended the accomplishments that the public securityforce has made over the past year.
She said the force should continue to popularise PresidentHo Chi Minh’s teachings to every member of the force, which require them to be hard working, frugal and truthful; be kind andhelpful to colleagues; be absolutely loyal to the government; be respectful andpolite to the people; be devoted to work; and be firm and smart against theenemy. On the occasion, the Ministry of Public Security in coordinationwith Bac Giang authorities inaugurated a memorial site devoted to President HoChi Minh’s teachings in Nha Nam commune, Bac Giang’s Tan Yen district.-VNA
The 70th anniversary of Traditional Day of Vietnam People’s Public Security Force and the 10th “All people protect national security” Festival are being observed in many countries.
The People’s Public Security Force has contributed significantly to Vietnam’s achievements over the past years, Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said.
President Truong Tan Sang has requested public security forces to mobilise all its strength to safeguard national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong has called on public security officials to continue following teachings of late President Ho Chi Minh to build a strong and transparent force.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
