Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc andthe delegation of National Assembly deputies of Hai Phong city had a meetingwith voters in the city’s An Duong district on June 16 to inform them of theoutcomes of the NA’s seventh session.
The voters showed their delight at the achievements that thecountry and the city have achieved as well as the success of the NA’s seventhsession.
They proposed that the Government pay greater attention to designingspecific policies to develop the private sector as well assmall-and-medium-sized enterprises.
Socio-economic development should be combined with improvingpeople’s income and narrowing the rich-poor gap, they said.
The voters showed their concern about difficulties andchallenges facing the country’s development amidst the complicated changingregional and regional situation. Natural disasters and epidemics, especiallythe African swine fever that has killed millions of pigs so far, were also amongtheir worries.
A number of voters complained that the administrative reformprocess has showed many shortcomings.
PM Phuc underscored the goal of the NA and Government inbuilding a State by the people and for the people, continuing realizing the 2013Constitution, ensuring human rights and citizen rights, safeguarding thenational sovereignty and providing better services to the people andenterprises.
Regarding measures to develop private economy, the PMaffirmed that the resolution issued at the Party Central Committee’s fifthplenary defines that private sector is a motivation of the economy, adding thatpromoting the sector’s growth is among priorities of the Government.
Taking note of voters’ opinions urging stronger reform of themanagement and operation of all-level administrations, the PM stressed the needto complete the personnel system to deal with shortcomings in the work.According to him, the highest target of administrative reform is to betterserve people and enterprises.
PM Phuc also underlined the necessity to reform the workingmanner and attitude of public servants, along with more efforts in fightingpetty corruption and handle violations.-VNA
