Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Government always supports thecooperation activities between Vietnam and Cuba’s justice ministries, PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told Cuban Minister of Justice Oscar Manuel SilveiraMartínez at a reception in Hanoi on December 12.
He believed that stronger cooperation between the two ministries willcontribute to promoting the traditional solidarity and comprehensivecollaboration between Vietnam and Cuba.
The Cuban minister told the PM that he had successful talks with his Vietnamesecounterpart, during which the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation inpersonnel training and computerisation.
He said the valuable experience of Vietnam will help Cuba a lot in the field ofjustice.
PM Phuc said he was glad Cuba adopted a new Constitution with important pointsthat strengthen the leadership of the Communist Party and promote the country’ssocio-economic growth.
He reiterated Vietnam’s support for Cuba at international forums, especiallythe United Nations.
Vietnam will continue to enhance cooperation with Cuba and increase high-leveldelegation exchanges between the two countries, he said.
He added that Vietnam has conducted its Doi Moi (renewal) for over 30 years andgained significant economic achievements. Therefore, Vietnam is willing tosupport Cuba in economic development in its capacity./.
The chiefs of the general staffs of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) highlighted the fruitful defence cooperation between the two countries and agreed to enhance the partnership during talks in Hanoi on September 16.
Vietnam always stands side by side and supports Cuba to further promote the Caribbean country’s socio-economic development for peace and prosperity in the region and the world, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
