President urges small companies to develop strong brands
The Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, ministries and agencies were urged to step up cooperation to provide local businesses with ample support to develop strong Vietnamese brands.

Hanoi (VNA)♚ – President Truong Tan Sang urged the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and ministries and agencies to step up cooperation to provide local businesses with ample support to develop strong Vietnamese brands and products as well as the country’s supporting industry
The President made the remark at his meeting with a delegation of small and medium-sized business owners, who represent some 62,000 members of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Hanoi on January 12.
He congratulated the business community’s significant contribution to national development in recent years. Despite challenges, Vietnamese small and medium-sized businesses have managed to maintain position growth, establish strong brands and products as well as creating many jobs.
He urged the association to step up efforts to help Vietnamese enterprises look for new markets for their products and services, improve human resources and training capacity.
The association must focus on trade facilitation activities, providing businesses with support to evolve in a modern market economy and in understanding administrative procedures to facilitate the process of integration with the global economy.
The President expressed his hope that in the future, the Vietnamese small and medium-sized business community would continue to grow, both in quantity and quality.-VNA
Links need to be strengthened between Vietnamese businesses and foreign firms to help domestic companies fully tap opportunities arising from the regional and international integration process.
