Hanoi (VNA)ꦺ – President Tran Dai Quang arrived in Hanoi on late August 30, wrapping up his State visits to Brunei and Singapore from August 26 – 30.
The visits were made at the invitation of Bruneian Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah and Singaporean President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
They took place amidst the sound development of Vietnam’s friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Brunei and its strategic partnership with Singapore in all spheres, from politics, security-defence, economy-trade-investment, education-training, to culture, sports and tourism.
The visits, along with activities of other Party and State leaders, have helped implement and convey the message about the 12 th National Party Congress’s socio-economic development and foreign policies, thereby furthering Vietnam’s relations with other countries as well as raising its stature in the region and the world.
This was also an opportunity for the leaders of Vietnam and the two other Southeast Asian countries to discuss ways fostering bilateral cooperation and bringing Vietnam’s relations with Brunei and Singapore to a new height, both bilaterally and multilaterally, for the sake of each country, the ASEAN Community and the region’s peace, stability and cooperation.
The Bruneian and Singaporean leaders highly valued President Tran Dai Quang’s visits, which have tightened Vietnam’s connections with their respective nations across the board.
During the visits, Vietnam and the two countries showed a similarity in their viewpoints on regional and global issues, especially those within the ASEAN framework, which is favourable for Vietnam’s closer coordination with Brunei and Singapore in promoting the ASEAN Community.-VNA

Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CPV, President Cuong said, the press has been a steadfast force on the ideological and cultural front, rallying the masses to pursue national aspirations.
NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
