Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran DaiQuang has sent best wishes to people in Vietnam and around the world on theoccasion of the Year of the Rooster.

In his New Year letter, the President, on behalfof the Party and the State, offered the best wishes to Vietnamese people, bothat home and abroad, and wished people around the world a new year of peace,happiness and prosperity.

He wrote that the entire nation of Vietnam madeefforts to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges in 2016, harvestingimportant achievements in various spheres.

He called on each Vietnamese people to bringinto full play patriotism, traditions, self-reliance, solidarity andcreativeness to successfully realise the Resolution of the 12th National PartyCongress, thereby opening up a new phase of development in which the countrywill be affluent and everyone will be happy.

With the confidence in the strength and thebright future of the nation, Vietnamese people are determined to gain evengreater victories in the cause of reforms, protecting the independence,sovereignty and territorial integrity, and building Vietnam into a strong andwealthy country that is comparable to other nations around the globe, he stressed.
