President makes Tet visit to HCM City locality

While meeting with social welfare beneficiaries,the President praised efforts made by wounded soldiers and theirfamilies in bettering themselves to overcome difficulties in their life.

He also spoke highly of endeavours made by localfarmers and enterprises to undertake market research, renovation andexpansion to promote their production and business, saying that thiswould spur socio-economic development and new rural building in thelocality.

On the occasion, President Sang alsovisited Thai My and Tan Thong Hoi communes, which are role-modellocalities for building new-style rural areas in the city.

He commended the endeavour of the two localities’ party committees andauthorities in effectively implementing the state’s guidelines tofurther boost the movement, adding that he hopes the localities willoptimise their ability so as to reach all 19 criteria of the ruralbuilding programme.

The President also urged Cu Chidistrict’s authority to ensure security and order and hold fast thestrength and transparence of the local Party Committee, in order tobring better living conditions to local people.-VNA
