President Ho Chi Minh’s legacy remains ever-present in Argentina: official
According to Marcelo Rodríguez, head of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Argentina (CPA), President Ho Chi Minh is held in deep admiration in Argentina. Buenos Aires (VNA) – The legacy of President Ho Chi Minh remains ever-present, particularly in Argentina, affirmed Marcelo Rodríguez, head of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Argentina (CPA), during an interview with a Vietnam News Agency (VNA) correspondent in Buenos Aires on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the late Vietnamese leader’s birth (May 19, 1890-2025).
The official stressed that Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding leader of the Vietnamese people and the Communist Party of Vietnam in the struggle against colonialism and for national independence, has become a shining example for all nations.
According to Rodríguez, the great man is held in deep admiration in Argentina. For years, his works and writings on Party-building, the international communist movement, and Marxism–Leninism have been actively studied by the CPA. His ideology on national liberation holds significant relevance for developing countries and the Global South.
He noted that the CPA has been making efforts to preserve and uphold the teachings and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh – a source of inspiration for revolutionary movements that persist across continents today.
Rodríguez, who also serves as Director of the CPA’s Héctor P. Agosti Marxist Studies and Training Centre (CEFMA), revealed that the institution is currently conducting studies on Vietnam’s recent socio-economic achievements as well as activities promoting bilateral cooperation.
Recently, CEFMA published a special journal compiling papers from its seminar on President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam–Latin America relations, which was held in Buenos Aires in August last year./.
In the 1930s, he also spent time in Italy, with cities like Rome, Milan, Florence, and Genoa bearing his footprints and locals continuing to speak of him with reverence and pride.
President Ho Chi Minh’s influence is felt not only in Vietnam but throughout human history. Italian communists have always held him in great respect and profound affection.
The statement underlined that Ho Chi Minh’s thought retains its enduring value in today’s ongoing struggles for freedom and social equality, continuing to inspire peoples around the world in their pursuit of peace and justice.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
