President Ho Chi Minh has close ties with Korean nationalists: Yonhap

Hanoi (VNA) – VietnamesePresident Ho Chi Minh had close relations with nationalists in the Republic ofKorea (RoK) during the 1920s, claimed reporter Kim Yong-rae of Yonhap NewsAgency based on a newly-found document in France.

Lee Jang-kyu, a Korean national who isstudying a doctorate degree in France, discovered the document at the AchievesNationales d’Outre-Mer (ANOM) library on French overseas territories.

The document said in the 1920s when Ho ChiMinh was in Paris to prepare for an independence movement in Vietnam, he metwith members of the then RoK provisional government.

It noted that French police consideredunderstanding publications compiled by RoK nationals a way to deal with Ho ChiMinh’s activities, as the man was closely following methods employed by Koreannationalists to fight Japan.

The document said Ho Chi Minh examined allRoK publications published in the US.

Kim Yong-rae said it is a valuable documentwritten by a French intelligence agent on Ho Chi Minh’s moves.-VNA
