Hanoi (VNA) – President TranDai Quang sent a message of congratulations to the new King of Thailand MahaVajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.
In the message dated December 2, theVietnamese leader shared the joy with the royal family and people of Thailand.
He expressed his belief that under thereign of the new King, the Thai people will continue to obtain greaterachievements in building Thailand into a beautiful and prosperous nation.
Vietnam always wants to continue its closecooperation with Thailand so as to continuously reinforce the bilateral strategicpartnership for the two peoples’ interests while contributing to cooperationand development in the ASEAN Community, and to peace, stability and developmentin the region and around the world, the President wrote in the message.-VNA
Thailand’s parliament acknowledged Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn as the new king on November 29 following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadejlast month.
