President assures ties with Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan

Hanoi (VNA) – PresidentTran Dai Quang has assured Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostanof Russia R.Kh. Mardanov that the Vietnamese State continually facilitates tieswith Russian localities, especially in the fields of economy, trade andinvestment.
During a reception in Hanoi onJanuary 10, the President wished that firms from Russia and Bashkortostan inparticular would invest more in Vietnam, noting that the Vietnamese State andconcerned agencies stand ready to provide all possible support for foreignenterprises, including those from Bashkortostan, to do long-term business inthe country.
As the Republic of Bashkortostan isone of the leading hubs for not only oil and gas, petrochemical refinery,mechanical processing, agriculture but also personnel training in oil and gasexploitation and refinery, President Quang suggested both sides considerexpanding cooperation in such potential fields based on each side’s strengthand demand.
The Vietnamese State hails thesigning of a cooperation agreement and action programme between Bashkortostanand the central province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, he said.
On the occasion, the host thanked theBashkortostan administration for assisting Vietnamese nationals and studentsmajor in oil and gas in the country.
Mardanov, for his part, said hisvisit aims to supplement leaders’ commitments to developing bilateral ties.
He thanked the Vietnamese nationalsand businesses for contributing to the host country’s economy, and told hishost that a number of business representatives accompanied him during the visitto explore opportunities in oil and gas, and agriculture.-VNA
