HCM City (VNA)💛 - Port operator Sai Gon Newport Corporation hopes to handle 6.06 million TEUs (equivalent to 80.6 million tonnes) of cargo this year, 13 percent higher than last year.

Cat Lai, Phu Huu, and Hiep Phuoc ports are expected to handle 4.4 million TEUs or 86 percent of all cargo passing through Ho Chi Minh City.
The corporation's revenues are expected to top 15.83 trillion VND (703.5 million USD) this year, up from 14.93 trillion VND (664.05 million USD) last year.
Last year cargo volumes via Cat Lai and Hiep Phuoc ports rose by 9.8 percent to 3.95 million TEUs. At Cai Mep- Thi Vai port complex, they grew 11.3 percent to 1.08 million TEUs. Last year pre-tax profit was 1.82 trillion VND (80.94 million USD).-VNA
