Once being the national centre of woodblock printing, spanning from the 15th to the 19th centuries, Thanh Lieu village in Hai Duong city in the province of the same name has preserved thousands of sets of scriptures and seals.

Vu Thai Binh is confident showcasing his skills with do (poonah) paper at a painting exhibition in Hanoi’s Old Quarter Culture Exchange Centre that began on October 19.

Surrounded by a crowd in a corner of the Centre of the Old Quarter's Culture Exchange, artisan Nguyen Dang Giap spreads colours carefully on different woodblocks to create a Dong Ho folk painting.
