Hanoi(VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc pledged to assist Laos to develop transportinfrastructure at his reception for Lao Minister of Public Works and TransportBounchanh Singthavong in Hanoi on April 20.

He also affirmedthat Vietnam will create all possible conditions for Laos to exploit Vung Angseaport in central Ha Tinh province to spur its socio-economic development.

He expressed his hope that the special friendship between the two countrieswill last forever and their cooperation across the board will be successful.

The PM told the visiting minister that the two countries will soon break groundfor the Lao National Assembly House with Vietnamese funding and expected thatthe neighbor will use Vietnam’s aid efficiently.

The Lao minister said that under Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith’s instruction,the Ministry of Public Works and Transport discussed with the VietnameseMinistry of Transport contents for the upcoming visit to Laos by Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc.

He took the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry ofTransport for their assistance to the Ministry of Public Works andTransport.-VNA
