Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested further visits,especially high-level ones, during a reception in Hanoi on April 10 for QatariAmbassador to Vietnam Mohamed Ismail Al Emadi.

ThePM hoped that bilateral ties would grow strongly in various areas during theambassador’s tenure in Vietnam.

Thehost thanked Qatar for recognising Vietnam as a full market economy and askedthe two nations to boost two-way trade.

Vietnamwants to increase exports of products of its strength and Qatar’s demand suchas food produce, he said, adding that the country is able to supply food toQatar over a long term.

Theleader wished to intensify financial-investment cooperation with Qatar as wellas partner with the Middle East country in receiving and training Vietnameseworkers, while affirming that Vietnam stands ready to support Qatar to invest inthe country.

Theambassador, for his part, said he was honoured to pay a courtesy call to the PMfor the second time.

Hetold the host that he discussed measures to strengthen bilateral ties withVietnamese ministries and agencies as advised by the PM during the previousreception, saying that he met leaders of the ministries of Planning andInvestment, and Industry and Trade and agreed that business opportunities areplentiful in Vietnam.

Hehoped that more pre-feasibility studies will be sent to Qatar for businessconsideration and pledged that more scholarships will be provided forVietnamese students.-VNA
