The reception took place before thePM attended the EAS via videoconference.
The PM briefed diplomats aboutVietnam’s achievements in the fight against COVID-19, saying that Vietnam hasbasically overcome difficulties and gradually switched to flexible adaptationfor socio-economic development.
He affirmed that Vietnam consistently pursues the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralisationof relations; active and proactive international integration; being afriend, a trustworthy partner and an active and responsible member ofinternational community.
Vietnam always attaches importance topromoting friendship and cooperation with countries, joining hands to maintainan environment of peace and stability for development, stepping up multilateralcooperation and global integration for a green and clean world withsustainable, inclusive and more humanitarian development, he said.
The PM suggested ambassadorsand charges d'affaires uphold their active role and help Vietnam meet its goal of becoming adeveloping country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, and ahigh-income developed nation by 2045, thus making active contributions to peace,stability and prosperity in the region and the world.
