Vientiane (VNA) – Prime Ministe𓂃r Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived at Wattay airporꦑt in the Lao capital city of Vientiane at noon on September 6, to attend the 28 th &29 th ASEAN Summits and related meetings at the invitation of his Lao counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith.

The same day, the PM is scheduled to meet with PM Thongloun Sisoulith and Party and State leaders of Laos. He will later attend the opening session of the 28 th &29 th ASEAN Summits and several other activities in the framework of the event. As an active and responsible member of ASEAN, Vietnam will work to promote ASEAN connectivity and solidarity as well as the bloc’s central role, while enhancing the comprehensive and result-oriented ties between ASEAN and its dialogue partners. During the 28 th &29 th ASEAN Summits, participating leaders are expected to sign one document, adopt 19 others and acknowledged 27 documents, while Laos will issue 10 Chairman’s Statements.-VNA
