- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attendedthe first session of the leaders' roundtable meeting ofthe second Belt and Road Forum for InternationalCooperation (BRF) in Beijing, China, on April 27.

The meeting on promoting connectivity to seek new growth drivers was chaired by Chinese President XiJinping.

During the event, participants focused their discussions on cooperationactivities within the framework of the Belt andRoad Initiative (BRI).

In his opening speech, Chinese President Xi stressed that the BRI aims to connectinfrastructure, as well as accelerate cooperation and smart production in keyfields of the digital economy.

The second session on strengthening policy resonance and building closer partnerships, and the third on promoting green andsustainable development to realise the UN Agenda 2030 are scheduled to takeplace on the same day.

The second Belt and Road Forum forInternational Cooperation will wrapped up later the day, with the issuance of ajoint statement of the leaders’ roundtable meeting.-VNA
