Hanoi (VNA)– Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked ministries, sectors, and localitiesto focus on launching online public services effectively at level 3 and 4, asstated in Decision No.846/QD-TTg, dated June 9, 2017, and Decision No.877/QD-TTg,issued on July 18, 2018.

Under a new direction fromthe Prime Minister on enhancing Vietnam’s e-government development index, inline with the United Nations’ evaluation methods, the ministries, sectors, andlocalities must improve the quality of their online public services, withpriority on important services.

They were requested toefficiently carry out the Government’s Decree No.61/2018/ND-CP issued on April23, 2018 on the implementation of the single-window mechanism in dealing withadministrative procedures – ensuring that each ministry, sector, and localityhas only one concentrated online service portal that is convenient for peopleand enterprises to use.

The Ministry ofInformation and Communications was assigned to review and evaluate thecomponent index of Vietnam’s infrastructure in accordance with the assessmentmethods of the UN, while also giving proposals on measures to improve the indexto be submitted to the Government before September 1, 2018.

Meanwhile, theMinistry of Education and Training was also asked to provide full and updatedinformation of Vietnam’s human resources index to relevant internationalorganisations, while continuing to apply measures to enhance this index. –VNA
