Phu Tho: firm fined for polluting environment

A company in the northern province of Phu Tho has been recently fined 300 million VND (12,950 USD) for its violations related to environmental protection.

Phu Tho (VNA) – A company in the northern province of Phu Tho has beenrecently fined 300 million VND (12,950 USD) for its violations related to environmentalprotection.

The provincial Departmentof Natural Resources and Environment announced on July 14 that the MK Noah VinaLtd. Co., headquartered in Nam Thanh Ba industrial zone in Thanh Ba district, waspenalized for discharging wastewater into the environment in levels exceedingregulatory standards.

It also had notreported on the implementation results of environmental protection worksserving its operation to the department.

The company wasrequested to immediately stop all violations, and strictly follow legalregulations on environmental protection. It will have 90 days to addressenvironmental pollution caused by its violations.-VNA

Vietnam ramps up plastic waste recycling, rඣeuse, treatment efforts
