Photo exhibition highlights Vietnam-Japan friendship

A total of 57 excellent photos chosen from a contest on Vietnamese and Japanese youths joining hands to bolster friendship were on display at an exhibition held by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee on October 31.

Hanoi (VNA) – A total of 57 excellent photos chosen from a conteston Vietnamese and Japanese youths joining hands to bolster friendship were ondisplay at an exhibition held by the Ministry of Information and Communicationsand the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee on October 31.

The contest, which was launched on July 31, is part of activities to mark the45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan (September 21,1973). It aims to improve young people’s understanding of the bilateralrelations as well as friendship between the two peoples while helping Japaneseyouth have a deep insight into Vietnam’s land and people in the integrationprocess.

During July-October, the organising board received more than 1,000 entries of126 domestic and foreign photographers. All of the photos capture outstanding culture,tradition, and especially friendship between the two countries.

“Niem vui tren cay cau huu nghi Viet Nam-Nhat Ban” (Vietnam-Japan friendshipbridge sheers bliss) by Nguyen Viet Cuong from Hanoi won the first prize.Meanwhile, the second prizes went to Nguyen Kim Long who is living in Japanwith the work  "Tuoi tre Viet Nam tham gia Le hoi Harajuki Super Yosakoi nam 2013" (Vietnamese youths at Harajuki Super Yosakoi festival in 2013), and Ho Nhu Y from Hanoi with thephoto “ Nhat Hoang va Hoang hau den tham Dai noi Hue" (Japanese Emperor and Empress visit Hue Imperial Citadel).

There were also five third and five consolidation prizes.-VNA
