Philippines upbeat about FDI in 2017

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) of the Philippines has reported that FDI into the country recorded a net sum of 674 million USD in June, a surge of 182.7 percent from 238 million USD in the same period last year.

Hanoi (VNA) - The National Economic and Development Authority(NEDA) of the Philippines has reported that FDI into the country recorded a netsum of 674 million USD in June, a surge of 182.7 percent from 238 million USD inthe same period last year.

In the first half of this year, the country saw registered FDI net inflows of3.6 billion USD, which represented 14 percent lower than the 4.2 billion USDnet inflows recorded in the same time last year.

Despite the first half’s FDI decline, the NEDA showed its upbeat that moreforeign investments will land the country in the time to come.
