Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with outstanding workers of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (now the﷽ Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group - Petrovietnam) in Hanoi on April 17, urging them to keep upholding its tradition with a desire to make contributions to the nation, targeting sustainable and breakthrough development.
Speaking at the meeting, held on the occasion of 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30) and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the group (September 3), the top legislator asked the group deeply study and effectively implement the Politburo's Conclusion 76-KL/TW regarding the strategic orientation for the development of Vietnam's petroleum industry to, with a vision towards 2035. This includes ensuring national energy security, economic security, food security, contributing to the protection of national security and sovereignty at sea, and social welfare.

Additionally, it should focus on innovation in line with the Politburo's Resolution 57-NQ/TW regarding breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The top legislator emphasised the importance of creating a better environment for workers, focusing on both the material and spiritual lives of employees. The Trade Union should continue playing an active role to serve as a reliable support for more than 60,000 workers in the sector.
