Petrolimex to sell Euro5 diesel oil from 2018

The Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) will be the first to distribute diesel oil with Euro 5 standard in the Vietnamese market from January 1, 2018.

Hanoi(VNA) – The Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) will be thefirst to distribute diesel oil with Euro 5 standard in the Vietnamese marketfrom January 1, 2018.

Although Vietnam onlyrequires Euro 4 standard for diesel-fueled vehicles from 2018, the firm willprovide diesel with the higher standard of Euro 5 to become a pioneer in thefield, said a Petrolimex representative.

The move aims tosupply customers with highest quality products, contributing to reduce emissionto the environment.

Particularly, Euro 5diesel oil also helps increase the endurance and capacity of vehicles thanks tolow ratio of sulfur, which is safer for users.

Petrolimex ViceDirector Nguyen Quang Dung said that the trade of Euro 5 diesel oil is part ofthe corporation’s business strategy of competing by products’ quality andprofessional services.

Alongside, thePetrolimex has also supplied Euro 4 RON 95 petrol from early 2017, and bio-fuelE5 RON 92 since December 15. It will stop selling mineral petrol RON 92 onJanuary 1, 2018.-VNA
