The deals areexpected to cover the trade, tourism, garment, agro-aquaculture, andscience-technology sectors, among others.

With an annualaverage growth of 6.7 percent, Peru is looking to access the world’slargest markets via a series of trade agreements, said Peruvian Charged’affaires in Vietnam Luis Tsuboyama.

The Peruvian side alsopledged to assist Vietnamese investors in every possible way once theybegin operating in the country.

PetroVietnam and Viettel arepouring more money in energy and media in Peru while Peru’s AJE Grouphas already dipped its toe into the Vietnamese beverage market.

Two-way trade between the two nations averages 100 million USDannually. Vietnam ships mainly apparel, footwear, rice and rubberproducts to Peru, while importing fish powder, animal oil andvegetables.-VNA
