Party organisation sector to press on with personnel preparations for all-level congresses
Effectively implementing the Party General Secretary and President’s directions on the personnel preparations for the 13th National Party Congress and continuing to join hands in the COVID-19 fight are among the main tasks for this month of the Party organisation and building sector.

Hanoi (VNA) – Effectively implementing the PartyGeneral Secretary and President’s directions on the personnel preparations for the 13th National Party Congress and continuing to join hands inthe COVID-19 fight are among the main tasks for this month of the Party organisation and building sector.
At the sector’s national teleconference on May 5, Pham MinhChinh, Politburo member and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s OrganisationCommission, requested Party committees and organisations at all levels tothoroughly grasp and seriously comply with Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s directions on issues that need specialattention in the personnel preparations for the 13th National PartyCongress.
Chinh noted that each cadre involved in the personnelpreparations must be fully aware of their responsibility, give wholeheartedattention to the work, and put the Party, nation and people’s interests aboveall.
In April, he added, the Party organisation and building sectortook drastic measures in response to complex developments of the COVID pandemicwhile boosting IT application and proactively reforming working methods so asto fulfill all tasks on schedule.
At the meeting, participants agreed that for May, the entiresector will press on with COVID-19 prevention and control measures in line withdirections issued by the Politburo, the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat,the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister. It will also workto have a better grasp and effectively carry out the top Party and State leader’sguidelines on the personnel work in the lead up to the 13th NationalParty Congress.
Besides, the sector will ensure the successful organisation ofParty congresses at the grassroots level to prepare for higher-level events andthe 13th National Party Congress, push ahead with implementing thePolitburo’s Regulation 205-QD/TW on the control of power and the prevention oflobbying for position and power in the personnel work, and continue toeffectively realise the 12th-tenure Party Central Committee’sresolutions on the Party organisation and building work in association with the preparations for all-level Party congresses.
Participating officials held that the sector will keep a firmgrasp of the internal political situation and resolutely fight against interestgroups and the abuse of mass media and social networks to spread fake news,distort the truth, undermine the internal solidarity or negatively affectpersonnel preparations, especially at the grassroots level./.
Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong on February 14 chaired a meeting of the Political Bureau to give opinions so as to complete draft documents of the 13th National Party Congress before sending them to grassroots-level Party congresses for collecting more ideas.
