Hanoi (VNA) –Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’sSecretariat Tran Quoc Vuong has affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’sconsistent policy of supporting democracy process in Venezuela.
During a reception in Hanoi on October 26 forVice President in charge of economic affairs of the United Socialist Party ofVenezuela (PSUV) Jesus Faria, Vuong thanked progressive forces and people ofVenezuela for providing support for Vietnam in the past national liberation anddevelopment at current.
He expressed his belief that under theleadership of the PSUV President and State President Nicolas Maduro, theVenezuelan people will overcome difficulties and successfully follow thetestament of the late President Hugo Chavez.
Faria wished that Vietnam would share itsexperience in socio-economic development with Venezuela, affirming that thePSUV and State of Venezuela want to strengthen solidarity and traditionalfriendship with Vietnam, towards pushing forward the practical and effectivedevelopment of bilateral comprehensive partnership, especially in economy,trade and investment.
Earlier, Faria held talks with deputy head ofthe Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Ngo Van Tuan, held workingsessions with former Secretary of the Party Central Committee and former DeputyPrime Minister Vu Khoan, and representatives of the National Assembly’sCommittee on External Relations, the Ministry of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment, the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam National Oil and GasGroup.
He also took the occasion to visit severalsocio-economic establishments in Hanoi and the northern province of QuangNinh.-VNA
