Party leader arrives in Beijing, starting China visit

Beijing (VNA) – 🐭Party General Secretary NguyenPhu Trong and his entourage arrived in Beijing on October 30 afternoon,starting his official visit to China at the invitation of Party GeneralSecretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
He was welcomed at the Beijing airport by Liu Jianchao, headof the International Liaison Commission of the Central Committee of theCommunist Party of China (CPC); and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham SaoMai. The visit by Party leader Trong is to highlight the foreignpolicy, including the affirmation of Vietnam’s consistent advocate of takingthe relations with China as a top priority in the foreign policy, hoping forlong-term, stable, and more effective and practical relations in the spirit ofthe common perceptions by high-ranking leaders of the two parties and states;and at the same time to make clear Vietnam’s concerns, just stance andlegitimate interests. The visit is to express support to the development advocatesand ideologies of the 20th congress of the CPC beneficial to peace,cooperation, and development; and the “leading nucleus” position of GeneralSecretary Xi Jinping established by the CPC. It is also to boost China’s policy on friendship andcooperation with Vietnam./.
The upcoming visit to China by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong demonstrates the traditional friendship between the CPV and the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the two States, said Xu Liping, Director of the Centre for Southeast Asian Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
China has remained Vietnam’s biggest trade partner, while Vietnam has continued to be the sixth largest trade partner of the neighbouring country, and the biggest in the Association of Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN) despites impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical upheavals in the world.
The ongoing official visit by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China holds a significant meaning in further promoting and deepening the ties between the two countries, reinforcing the political trust between the two Parties, and contributing to bringing the bilateral relations to a new development period, according to Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
