Party chief’s personnel instructions win support from Ca Mau officials

Ca Mau (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s remarks at the first meeting of the sub-committee on personnel affairs of the 14th National Party Congress in March have drawn special attention from officials, Party members and people in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau, a local official has said.
Ho Trung Viet, head of the provincial Party Committee’s Information and Education Board, said despite many achievements, “loopholes” still remain in Party personnel affairs, especially those among senior officials, which have eroded public trust in the work.
Therefore, the Party chief’s speech is of significance to the personnel work in general and that for the 14th National Party Congress, slated for January 2026, in particular, he stressed.
The work must be carried out in a scientific, consistent, impartial and objective fashion, Viet said, noting that the political quality, morality, lifestyle, work efficiency, and reputation of cadres should be main meters basing on which nomination and appointment are done.
The Information and Education Board has asked all-level Party Committees and organisations in Ca Mau to disseminate the top leader’s instructions among officials, Party members and local residents, he continued.

The sub-committee on personnel affairs and four others, covering documents, socio-economic affairs, the Party’s statutes and organisation, were established by the 13th Party Central Committee at its 8th session in October 2023 in preparation for the 14th National Congress.
