Hanoi (VNA) – Party General SecretaryNguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception for visiting Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) CentralCommittee, Saysomphone Phomvihane in Hanoi on June 25.
The Lao guest, who is on a visit to Vietnam to attend the third conference ofPresidents of the front organisations of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, highlightedthe significance of the conference, affirming that the Lao Front for NationalConstruction (LFNC), along with the VietnamFatherland Front (VFF) and the National Council of Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland, will focus on implementing the tri-lateralcooperation programme for the period 2017-2020 signed among the three sides atthe event.
Saysomphone reported recent cooperation activities between LFNC and VFF to theVietnamese Party chief, along with plans to boost links between the two organisationsin the coming time.
He said he believes that the relations between the Parties and States, and theirfront organisations of Vietnam and Laos will develop incessantly, fruitfully andsustainably in the time ahead.
For his part Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted that Saysomphone Phomvihane’s visit is an important event,contributing to reinforcing and enhancing the traditional friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive between Vietnam and Laos.
Reiterating President Ho Chi Minh’s viewson the role of front organisations and the cause of national and internationalsolidarity, including the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia solidarity, the Party leader appreciatedthe results of the third conference of Presidents of the three nations’ front organisations
He suggested the fronts coordinate to well execute the tri-lateral cooperationprogramme in 2017-2020, concentrating on promoting education aboutthe traditional relations, friendship among the three countries.-VNA

The Presidents of the front organisations of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam signed a tri-lateral cooperation programme for the period 2017-2020 at their third conference held in Hanoi on June 25.
Vietnam and Laos convened the fourth meeting of their Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee in Cua Lo town, the central province of Nghe An, on June 25.
