Party chief attends military parade marking 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism in Kazakhstan

Astana (VNA)𓂃 – Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism in Astana on May 7 (local time), as part of their ongoing state visit to Kazakhstan.
The event, broadcast live across the capital and major cities via public LED screen, also saw the presence of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

From dawn, volunteers distributed the Victory Ribbon, a sky-blue silk strip symbolising courage and remembrance. Measuring 30cm in length and 3cm in width, the ribbon is adorned with Kazakhstan’s golden national emblem at the centre, serving as a tribute to the bravery of those who fought in the Great Patriotic War and a legacy of memory for future generations.
More than 4,000 personnel from the Kazakh Ministry of Defence, National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Border Service joined the parade, accompanied by over 200 pieces of military equipment and 66 aircraft flyovers. Each formation consisted of 156 troops, followed by a 300-member military band that closed the parade in full ceremonial display.
Following the parade was a concert featuring top Kazakhstani artists and troupes./.
Party General Secretary To Lam, who is on a state visit to Kazakhstan, attended the parade marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism (May 9, 1945-2025) in the capital Astana on May 7.
The concert was not only an expression of goodwill between the people of both nations but also a vivid demonstration of mutual respect and profound friendship between their leaders.
Leaders of the two countries agreed that developing and deepening the Vietnam - Kazakhstan relations are in accordance with the common interests of the two peoples, significantly contributing to ensuring peace, stability and development in the region and the world; agreed to elevate the bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership and to continue to boost cooperation
Looking toward the future, the Party chief noted that the Strategic Partnership should be implemented through substantive and effective cooperation, thereby becoming a model of South-South collaboration between Southeast Asia and Central Asia.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
