Over 60 percent of the COVID-19 patients still under treatment show mild clinical symptoms while 363 have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 from once to thrice, said the National Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – Over 60 percent of theCOVID-19 patients still under treatment show mild clinical symptoms while 363have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 from once to thrice, saidthe National Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
As of June 8 morning, Vietnam had recorded 9,027infection cases, including 3,509 recoveries and 53 fatalities.
More than 5,400 patients are undergoingtreatment at 106 healthcare establishments nationwide. The northern province ofBac Giang is taking care of the largest number of patients, over 3,100, thetreatment sub-committee said.
It noted that more than 60 percent of thepatients show mild clinical symptoms while 106 are forecast to get critical,including 82 in very critical condition and three with fatality prediction.
There are nine patients living on theextracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machines at present.
The treatment subcommittee said leading expertshave frequently held telehealth consultations to give guidelines on thetreatment of severe cases, helping save many whose condition was previouslyforecast to get worse.
Luong Ngoc Khue, Director of the HealthMinistry’s Department of Medical Service Administration and deputy head of thetreatment sub-committee, said healthcare establishments need to proactivelyseek advice on serious cases from experts via the telehealth system, and theministry is always ready to send experts to help./.
