HCM City (VNA)🌊 – Olympic Lyon and HCM City Football Federation (HFF) on June 20 kicked off their two-day junior player selection following their cooperation they had planned for two years.

More than 100 children in the U-11 and U-13 age groups gathered at the Thong Nhat Stadium divided in different teams, and played football, while coaches walked around to watch them. After two days, the 50 best players will be picked. They will go for a test under Olympic Lyon’s Executive Director Julien Negri in mid-August. Eighteen outstanding faces will be finalised to take part in a training camp jointly carried out by HFF and Olympic Lyon. The selection is one of activities listed in an agreement which is valid through 2020 between two sides in which Olympic Lyon will help the city in training youth footballers, improving the local football team as well as developing the women’s football and futsal movements.-VNA

♎ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
