Official emphasises importance of protecting Party’s ideological foundation

Hanoi (VNA) – Secretary of the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and head of the committee’s Commissionfor Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia on February 9 asked the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House to compile more books on protecting the CPV’sideological foundation.
Earlier, the publishing house released a collection ofmore than 160 book titles on the Party’s ideological foundation, and another featuringlate President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.
Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation goes in tandemwith safeguarding the nation and the people, Nghia stressed during a visit tothe publishing house.
The 160 book titles include works by President Ho ChiMinh and those on the late leader, the Party and political system building,socialism and Vietnam’s path towards socialism. They were introduced to thepublic on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the CPV (February3, 1930-2022).
Meanwhile, the book series on President Ho Chi Minh’steachings was released on January 17 to meet the youth’s need of studying andfollowing the late leader’s example./.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on February 8 chaired a meeting of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat to review the organisation of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
The Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, in collaboration with its Theoretical Council and the National Political Publishing House, held a ceremony on February 9 to make debut a book named “Several theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam” by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
A scientific seminar held in Hanoi on February 9 highlighted Truong Chinh, former Party General Secretary and former Chairman of the State Council, as a reformed and creative leader of Vietnam.

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
