ODA granted to int’l consultancy for water, waste projects

The Prime Minister has approved Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans to finance their international supervision-consultancy services for six projects on water supply and solid waste and wastewater treatment.
The Prime Minister has approved Official Development Assistance (ODA)loans to finance their international supervision-consultancy servicesfor six projects on water supply and solid waste and wastewatertreatment.

The projects are benefiting from a lending agreement covering phase II of the Norway/KfW mixed credit programme.

Accordingly, over 544,000 EUR (574,600 USD) will be used for the47-month supervision-consultancy services for the construction of adrainage system in Cao Lanh city in the Mekong Delta province of DongThap.

Around 210,000 EUR (221,800 USD) and 389,000EUR (410,900 USD) will be provided for the 24-month and 36-monthsupervision-consultancy contracts for drainage network upgrades in DienBien city in northern Dien Bien province and Thai Binh city in northernThai Binh province, respectively.

Meanwhile, the42-month supervision-consultancy for the upgrades to drainage and watertreatment systems in Quang Tri town in central Quang Tri province willreceive 474,000 EUR (500,700 USD).

Thesupervision-consultancy service for the construction of a solid wastetreatment plant in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang and a wastewater treatment plant at Thuy Van Industrial Zone in northern Phu Thoprovince will be facilitated through ODA funds of about 304,000 EUR(321,100 USD) and 275,000 EUR (290,400 USD), respectively, over 28-30months.-VNA
