Binh Dinh (VNA) – Swiss Professor Kurt Wuthrich who won the 2002 Nobel Prize in Chemistry had a talk with over🌄 1,000 students and science-lovers in Quy Nhon C♛ity, the central province of Binh Dinh, on July 6.

The talk was an activity in the framework of the “Meet Vietnam 2016” programme, jointly organized by the Meeting Vietnam Association and the Ministry of Science and Technology .
Participants raised numerous questions for the professor, including those related to producing cancer drug or nuclear bombs, and asked for his advice in pursuing scientific research. Professor Kurt Wuthrich is working at the Scipps Research Institute in California, the US. He is also a member of the Foreign Members of the Royal Society (ForMemRS).
Besides the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, his other notable awards include the Otto Warburg Medal in 1999, Kyoto Prize (1998), Louisa Gross Horwitz (1991), and Marcel Benoist Prize (1991). “Meet Vietnam” programme is one of the Meet Vietnam Association’s activities that aim to become part of the national science and education development programme. The association is also active in Vietnam with the grant of scholarships and the building of SOS villages for disadvantaged children.-VNA
