No new COVID-19 infections in community for 10 consecutive days
Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 cases on September 12, marking 10 days in a row without infections in the community since the second outbreak hit central Da Nang city on July 25, according the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) 🍌- Vietnamrecorded no new COVID-19 caseson September 12, marking 10 days in a row without infections in the communitysince the second outbreak hit central Da Nang city on July 25, according theNational Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The total number of COVID-19 infectionsremained at 1,060, of which 691 are locally transmitted cases.
𓂃 On September 12,eight more COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear after testingnegative for SARS-CoV-2. The total number of people who have now beaten thevirus now stands at 910.
The latest patients to recover are five in centralDa Nang city and three in central Quang Nam province.
During treatment, these patients all had testednegative for SARS-CoV-2 three times. They currently are in a stablecondition. They will all now be quarantined at their homes for 14days according to pandemic prevention regulations.
As many as 35,390 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients orentered Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions are being quarantined nationwide,including 590 in hospitals, 16,433 in concentrated quarantine establishmentsand 18,367 at home.
Among the active patients, 16 tested negative for coronavirus SAR-CoV-2 once,17 twice and 21 three times.
The country has so far recorded 35 deaths, mostly of them were elderly peoplewith serious underlying diseases.
The Ministry of Health has called on every Vietnamese person to follow themessage “Mask-Disinfectant-Keeping Distance-Avoiding crowded place-Healthdeclaration” to live safely with the pandemic.
