Hanoi (VNA) –The ninth session of the National Assembly (NA) will open at the NA Hall inHanoi on May 20, the NA announced in a statement on May 19.
The statement said thesession will be held in the form of video conference in combination withplenary meeting. The session will be divided into two phases, with the first phasefrom May 20 to May 29 held in the form of video conference. The second phase isfrom June 8 to 18 during which deputies will gather for meetings at the NAHall.
On May 19 morning,leaders of the Party, State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and NA deputies whowill be attending video conferences at the NA Hall laid a wreath and paidtribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
At 8:30 the same day, theNA convened an online preparatory session to discuss and approve the programmeof the 9th session.
The opening of the 9th NA session will be broadcast live on national television and radio./.
The 38th session of the 14th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will take place in Hanoi from October 14-17, the NA Office announced on October 11.
The 14th National Assembly discussed the draft amended securities law during a plenary sitting on October 22, the second working day of the 8th session.
