Nhan Dan (People) and Granma newspapers should further sharpen theirpens on the ideological front to worthily play their role as officialorgans of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Cuba.
The viewwas shared by Nhan dan Editor-in-Chief Thuan Huu and his Granmacounterpart Lazaro Barredo during their working session in Havana.
Mr. Huu led a delegation from Nhan dan newspaper to visitCuba from November 16-22 with an aim of promoting mutual understandingwith Granma newspaper.
The Vietnamese and Cuban journalistsspoke of the need for the two newspapers to continue improvingthemselves to disseminate fully Party and State guidelines and policiesto everyone.
During their stay in Cuba, Nhan danjournalists were received by Vice Chairman of the Council of MinistersRicardo Cabrisas and had working sessions with head of the CommunistParty of Cuba Central Committee’s Commission for Ideology RolandoAlfonso and head of the CPC Central Committee’s Commission for ExternalRelations Jose Ramon Balaguer.
The Cuban officialsaffirmed wishes to further strengthen the economic-trade cooperationwith Vietnam in order to fully utilize the two countries’ potentialand traditional relations.
Mr. Huu affirmed theVietnamese Government and people’s support and faithful sentiments toCuba in its course of protecting the gained revolutionary fruits andupdating its economic model.
The Vietnam-Cubatraditional friendship is an invaluable asset that needs to becontinuously fostered and consolidated by the two peoples, especiallyyoung generations, he said.
