The ninth Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is scheduled to take place in the central province of Khanh Hoa from May 11-14, 2019, as an activity to kick-start the National Tourism Year 2019.

The festival will feature a string of cultural, artistic andsport activities, aiming to introduce the province’s strengths in economics,culture and tourism as well as its sustainable development prospects.
The festival has been held biennially since 2003. Some120,000 foreign and domestic tourists flocked to the city during the previousfestival.
Boasting 180 kilometres of coastline, stunning naturallandscapes with Van Phong, Nha Trang and Cam Ranh bays listed as the world’smost beautiful bays, together with many exciting festivals such as PonagarTemple festival, whale worshipping festival, and Salanganes Festival, Khanh Hoaprovince poses huge potential to develop tourism.
According to the provincial Department of Tourism, number oftourist arrivals to the locality has increased substantially in the past years.The province welcomed 2.3 million visitors in 2012, and the figure rose to 5.5million people five years later. In the first nine months of this year, more than5 million people chose Khanh Hoa to spend their holidays, including 1.7 millionforeigners and up more than 116 percent compared to the same time in 2017.
Currently, the locality has 680 accommodation facilities,with 31,700 rooms.
The province eyes to welcome 8.5 million tourists, including3.5 million foreigners by 2020, and earn 70 trillion VND (2.99 billion USD) intourism revenue.-VNA
