Nguyen Manh Hung appointed as Minister of Information and Communications
With 461 “yes” votes, or 95.05 percent, deputies of the 14th National Assembly approved the appointment of Nguyen Manh Hung as Minister of Information and Communications during the ongoing sixth session in Hanoi on October 24.

Hanoi (VNA) – With 461 “yes” votes, or 95.05 percent,deputies of the 14th National Assembly approved the appointment ofNguyen Manh Hung as Minister of Information and Communications during theongoing sixth session in Hanoi on October 24.
The appointment was made through secret voting.
Hung will hold the position for the 2016-2021 tenure.
Earlier on October 23,NA deputies passed a resolution approving the dismissal of Truong Minh Tuanfrom the post of the Minister of Information and Communications.-VNA

Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang cleared up deputies' concern regarding how to spur socio-economic growth, renew traditional growth motives and establish new momentum for development.
Vietnam proposed several priorities: narrowing the digital divide, strengthening women’s leadership in the digital economy and AI governance, and mobilising sustainable financing for gender equality initiatives in line with each country’s national priorities and context.
