Hanoi (VNA) - Ceremonies to see young people off for military service were held in 30 towns and districts of Hanoi on February 6.
♐ Speaking at a ceremony at Quan Ngua Stadium in Ba Dinh district, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung expressed his wish that the fresh recruits will become outstanding officers and soldiers, and his belief that each of them will strive in training.
Vu Anh Dung from Giang Vo ward said he is proud to join the military, and promised to well perform in the military.
Present at a ceremony in Dong Anh district, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that fulfilling military duty is both the responsibility and the pride of youngsters.
🎶 He urged them to carry forward traditions, to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the people, and to overcome difficulties in order to fulfill their tasks.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen also attended a ceremony in Bac Tu Liem district.

Similar ceremonies were organised in the nine cities and provinces of the Military Region 3, namely Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh and Ninh Binh.
Earlier, the localities provided material and spiritual support for the new recruits, encouraging them to fulfill the duty.
✱ Young people in the six localities in the Military Region 1, comprising Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh, set off for the service the same day.

The new recruits included those belonging to ethnic minority groups like Mong, Cao Lan, San Chi and San Diu. More than 2,100 registered for the service voluntarily. In Thai Nguyen province alone, ethnic minority men made up 40.2% of the new recruits and the number of volunteers accounted for 16.9%./.
Like other localities around the country, Ho Chi Minh City is ready for military enlistments in 2021. This year it has nearly 4,000 citizens in military service, including two women.
Localities nationwide have completed their recruitment targets for 2022. Many cities and provinces organised ceremonies on Feb. 16 to send off thousands of young men and women who will serve in the military for two years.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
