New friendship bridge for Vietnam – Romania ties

Romanian Ambassador Valariu Arteni, in his speech, expressed beliefthat the freshly-established chapter will play a productive role in theRomanian embassy’s activities in the city and the southern localities.

Establishing bilateral diplomatic ties in 1950, Vietnam andRomania have facilitated regular high-level visits and workedclosely together at global forums and organisations.

Romaniahas trained about 4,000 Vietnamese students and officials. Atpresent, nearly 1,000 Vietnamese are working in the European country andsome 8,000 Romanians are in Vietnam.-VNA
