A 25-member executive board led by Chairman Nguyen Sy Thang was elected for the 2014-2019 tenure. Romanian Ambassador Valariu Arteni, in his speech, expressed beliefthat the freshly-established chapter will play a productive role in theRomanian embassy’s activities in the city and the southern localities.
Establishing bilateral diplomatic ties in 1950, Vietnam andRomania have facilitated regular high-level visits and workedclosely together at global forums and organisations.
