Hanoi (VNA) – Truong Thi Mai, Politburomember, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and headof its Commission for Mass Mobilisation, received a New Azerbaijan Party delegationled by Sevinj Fataliyeva, head of its International Relations Department,in Hanoi on December 11.
At the reception, Mai said Vietnam always attaches importance tostrengthening and developing the traditional friendship and multi-facetedcooperation with Azerbaijan.
She highly valued the New Azerbaijan Party’scontributions to Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development as well as promotingall-round collaboration between the two countries.
She stressed the two Parties need support the promotion of parliamentary cooperationand people-to-people exchange, thereby fostering the two countries’ ties in amore comprehensive and deeper manner.
Fataliyeva, who is also Deputy Chairwoman of theParliamentary Committee on Foreign and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, saidAzerbaijan considers Vietnam a leading important partner in Southeast Asia andpledged to do her utmost to contribute to expanding the ties between the two Partiesin the coming time.
On the same day, Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Party Central Committee’sCommission for External Relations, held talks with Fataliyeva and herentourage, during which they discussed the situation of each party and country,and experience in party building and youth-related affairs. They also exchangedviews on several international and regional issues as well as orientations tocontinue implementing the cooperation agreement between the two Parties.
While in Vietnam, the delegation met with leaders of the National Assembly’sCommittee for External Affairs and had a working session with authorities of thenorthern coastal province Quang Ninh. - VNA
