FromJanuary 30 to February 2, Hong Bang International University (HIU) is givingmore than 15,000 Tet gifts to its students. On this occasion, HIUFoundation offers 100 scholarships worth 3 million VND (123 USD ) each to studentswith difficult circumstances. The university has also launched its 2024 springvolunteer campaign which attracted more than 200 students who will join charitycommunity activities. Meanwhile,during the same period, the city’s Young Entrepreneurs Association (VietnamYoung Entrepreneurs Tourism Club) and Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Areacoordinated with units to organise a Tet celebration for 3,000 orphans anddisadvantaged children in the city. Theevent with funding of 1.8 billion VND offered the children an opportunity totake part in popular activities or folk games commonly held during Vietnam’straditional Tet festival, thus helping them understand more about thetraditional cultural values. Beneficiaries will receive gifts including toys,milk, cakes, and 100,000 VND in cash. Onthis occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Co-operatives (SaigonCo.op) in coordination with Unilever Vietnam, Coca-Cola Vietnam, P&GVietnam, and Mayhome planned to organise the “Happy Bus 2024” programme offering0 VND bus tickets to disadvantaged people. Underthe programme, 20 buses will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on February5 (the 26th day of the last lunar month), carrying about 900 passengers to theirhometowns in 35 provinces nationwide./.
