In thecoming time, they will continue to exchange information via established communicationchannels, as well as fully and effectively implement agreements on regulations on joint patrolon bordering sea areas signed by the naval forces of Vietnam and Thailand in1999.

Sen. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, has called on the law enforcement forces and navies of ASEAN countries to enhance cooperation in settling incidents at sea, especially those related to fishermen.
